Great Portal, Great Workflows, Great Communication Management Tool
I purchased a client list from someone using TaxDome, and transitioned into using it. I barely used it the first season because I didn't understand it -- and now I love it and feel it contributes to my efficiency and document security in a way that would be impossible without it.
Pros: The ability to keep several methods of communication in one arena -- chats, emails from multiple addresses, etc -- all the while allowing the safe upload and download of documents. The work flows are a great organizational tool.
Cons: The user/fee structure. As a small practitioner, the kind that gets great use from TaxDome, we have users that are not primary, can be occasional - part time bookkeepers, seasonal interns, spousal record upkeep, etc. To charge the same for any new users is not cool -- and it leads to sharing of logins, which is not a safe practice.

Pros: Prodotto scoperto per caso per una delle tante pubblicità che si vedono. In realtà si è subito dimostrato un validissimo aiuto per uno studio, come il mio, in cui i clienti sono moltissimi e sempre variabili (ci occupiamo di persone fisiche 'transfrontaliere', quindi che si spostano con una certa frequenza). In particolare abbiamo apprezzato tantissimo la disponibilità nello sviluppo di funzionalità aggiuntive, dimostrando una elasticità difficile da trovare presso altri 'softwaristi'.
Cons: Per ora NULLA. Quello che abbiamo richiesto è stato implementato, altri servizi sono in corso di realizzazione.
Great Solution and Affordable
Overall, TaxDome does just about everything I need to run my little business (other than bookkeeping). I look forward to figuring out how to use the functions that elude me, currently. In the meantime, being able to exchange documents, receive payment for invoices, and get client signatures remotely in one place is convenient.
Pros: • Client and firm document storage and sharing. • Invoicing options that include one-time and recurring. - Client can pay invoice by following an email link - Integrated payment processing, including ACH for direct bank draw
Cons: • Very confusing to setup workflow, pipelines, tasks, and jobs • Some features are not linked in places where it would make sense - You cannot add an external/cash payment to invoice by viewing the invoice. The link to do that is located somewhere else • Did I mention that setting up pipelines and workflows, job tracking, tasks etc is very difficult and counter intuitive?
Tax Dome Customer Service
So far TaxDome has been great. There are lots of articles, tools and lessons online. I had an issue with my profile while trying to purchase my license and the support I received was fantastic. Not only was support helpful, they cared and followed up with me until it was resolved.
Pros: I really like that tax dome has everything all in one spot. We can invoice, email, store documents all in one location within a client profile
Cons: Honestly, the price structure. I'd be happy to commit to paying the $600 for three years, but for cash flow, it is a big ask to outlay that amount of cash for several users.
Great product
Pros: I love how easy it was to get started! My favorite feature so far is the ability to link multiple contacts into one account so you're linking the businesses, the owner, their adult child who needs a tax return, etc. Without that, your practice management and tracking can get muddled down unnecessarily, and it really helps to be able to group people and keep communication coherent and in one place for all pertinent contacts.
Cons: I'd like to pay monthly for cash management purposes.
Replacing Smart Vault
Pros: I intend to utilize a great many of the features in Tax Dome, but there are so many! I was asked to do this review while I'm still in my free trial, so I haven't been able to setup and try many features yet. As far as the part I'm working on, replacing Smart Vault is a no brainer. It's cheaper and does so much more.
Cons: I really wish there was a monthly fee option. I'll have a ton of savings from not having to pay for Smart Vault and for the other things that I'll eventually change over too. But it would have been nice to be able to realize some of those savings before needing to sink that much cash flow into it. I'm a very small business and needed a better tool to be able to scale, and this is going to do exactly what I need. But I can't scale until I implement it. Honestly, I would have implemented it three years ago if not for the high barrier to entry.

Effieiency
My overall experience with TaxDome has been exceptional, as it has significantly improved the efficiency and organization of my tax workflow, while providing excellent client collaboration features.
Pros: What I love most about TaxDome is its seamless integration of client communication, document management, and invoicing, streamlining my entire tax workflow.
Cons: The only drawback I've encountered with TaxDome is the occasional lag in response time when navigating between different sections of the platform.
TaxDome for Accounting & Tax
The team at TaxDome has continued to improve the product over the three years we have been using it. Our client adoption of the product has also been great and really facilitates communication and information sharing with them.
Pros: TDome is the hub for managing our virtual accounting and tax practice. It enabled us to consolidate and reduce the number of applications needed which simplifies our tech stack and operations.
Cons: The pipeline feature has a learning curve that must be overcome to implement TaxDome effectively. This is the case with all software applications in order to fully implement them.

Best CRM software for any Accountant
I am one person shop, this software is my personal assistant that I pay only once a year. All my repetitive messages, emails are sent to the clients without me moving a finger, Invoices and ELs sent the same way.Requests for drafts approvals, and invoice attachments are super critical to my cashflow.
Pros: The ease of use, the workflow that allows me to automate numerous respective tasks, saving me huge amount of time

To be determined... too early to say.
Pros: I like that they give you a two week free trial to see if their software is a good fit for your business. Overall seems like pretty comprehensive software and good value for the $. I was hoping to be able to speak with someone to help with migrating client data from ProSeries but have to rely on help articles until the first available onboarding appointment opening two weeks out. They don't have a phone number you can call. You have to get on their calendar or use chat, email, or articles/video tutorials.
Cons: Migrating data might be a challenge, if you are missing some data or need to clean up your spreadsheet. I wish you could speak with someone via zoom or phone right away but that's not the case.
Review of TaxDome software
Pros: It includes many items in one package and links well with my Tax Software (in my case, Tax Act).
Cons: A little bit of a learning curve to get started.
An excellent and easy to use tool with step-by-step transitions to simplify everything
I am able to combine my CRM and my customer portal into one single useful and easy to use tool.
Pros: I always worry that changing from one set of software to another is going to be a stressful and painful experience. That wasn't the case with TaxDome. The guided tours through the videos made everything simple.
Cons: I wish PayPal payments could be accepted.
Great features, great price
The interface is a little confusing for me, but I think that will not be the case when I have everything up and running the way I want.
I also think if you get permissions set up right for your staff, their interface would be simpler
Pros: Before I got licensed, I was using Canopy. When I rebranded my business, I decided to rebuild my tech stack from the ground up.
TaxDome comes in at about 1/3 of the price of Canopy for me (I didn't even have all their features), and it has more functionality. The workflow interface is a Kanban-style board that lets you visualize where products are, and I find it much easier to review that Canopy, where they are just all lumped together as "tasks".
Cons: TaxDome takes a LONG time to get setup . . . but that's because there are so many great features, and it is to your advantage to use them all together. Be prepared to invest significant time crafting your templates, building your organizers, and planning your workflows ("pipelines" in TaxDome).
However, if you do take the time to set these up (there is an online course that walks you through it, and they offer a video-conference onboarding session) I think you'll be thrilled with the results.
Simplifying Your Practice
Very good overall experience. Definitely is useful to have the CRM, electronic storage, task / organizer reminders, signatures and more in one place.
Pros: I like that it's fairly easy to use but does have extensive training libraries when needed. Very easy for clients to see what they need to do and love how it organizes communications. The versatile filing system and other organizers make onboarding much smoother.
Cons: Would be helpful if it allowed more delineation with folders. So, for a client, it would be great if one contact could have access to folders A-Z, while other contacts would have more limited access. In some cases I have to create multiple client files because of the inability to fine tune sharing.
Also would be nice if the portal allowed some custom i-frames so that for a given client and its contacts, I could share, say, a project plan, slide show, or even Google spreadsheet through it so they didn't have to keep a bunch of URLs in their records.
TaxDome
Overall, i am happy with its features and the ease of setup.
Pros: TaxDome is easy to learn. It's very intuitive. I've been learning how to use the software mostly on my own. On occasions when i had to contact support, TaxDome support is excellent. They're very knowledgeable and patient.
Cons: There is one negative aspect of TaxDome which i don't like. It doesn't notify when the organizer makes changes. Also, it doesn't have the option to change the storage location of the TaxDome drive.
The best all in one accounting practice management CRM in the market, Period!
Excellent, from a workflow consultant POV - I've been able to help other accountants maximize it's use and strategize how to get all the features out of it.
Pros: This eliminates multiple applications and features and is the most complete software in the market for the money
Cons: Some features still need upgrading:
- It takes a while for bulk edit to process. - If you complete a task from the job card inside the pipeline it automoves in same page, but if you do it in new tab you have to refresh the original pipeline tab to see the job card automove - When you delete jobs the tasks are still active - There's no way to see deleted tasks (in case they were deleted by accident) - There's no way to undo a function in case it was done in error
Great Software
Pros: I really like how the software has made managing my small firm so much easier!
Cons: I wish the invoice portal was a bit more user friendly and that you had more room to play around. For example I wish the time entries just automatically went to the invoice with an hourly rate you set. In addition I wished the invoices were sent with our logo, this may be the case and I just may have missed it.
