While the setup for the various features of the program has taken a bit longer than expected the experience as we and our clients begin to utilize the program has been positive. Those clients that have utilized the program so far have indicated a much higher satisfaction and intuitive use of the program compared to our prior web portal, document management program.

Pros: The combination of web portal with a built-in client scanner, document management, workflow management, client communications, client billings and electronic signature combines all of the necessary features required for a modern electronic or virtual tax or accounting based practice.

Cons: The program is such a large sandbox, it would have been more efficiently incorporated into our practice if a structured and required training program was included with the subscription.

Pros: It's made specifically for tax pros. All the features are thoughtfully designed around optimizing professional tax pro / accountant workflows. This is by far the best all-in-one accounting tool I have used. You can tell the team is putting in work on the tool with new monthly features being shipped every month. This is the opposite of Intuit. You guys are great. TaxDome saved us at least 200 hours of manual work the past tax season.

Cons: Minor things like not having a preset / prefilled client reminder occurrences and frequency.

We have only been using for a few months, but i can see the value in it. Once we get all of our concerns dealt with, I know we are going to enjoy the switch to Tax Dome even more than we had thought.

Pros: It seems to able to handle a lot of the flow of the accounting firm

Cons: It is a little challenging to set up and get transactions entered properly.

Pros: As someone who handles their own taxes, TaxDome has been an absolute lifesaver. Having everything organized in one place makes the whole process so much smoother. I can easily upload all my documents, communicate securely with my tax preparer, and track the progress of my returns. The automated reminders ensure I never miss a deadline. TaxDome has simplified the entire tax-filing process for me. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stress-free way to manage their taxes.

Cons: There is definitely a learning curve. I'm still figuring out some of the features. If you have an accounting background, you'll probably find your way around pretty quick. The rest of us would benefit from some simple tutorials.

Pros: It is very helpful. I think every accounting firm should use it

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this software, as an end user, and will not consider working with a company for my tax prep who does NOT use this platform.

Pros: As someone who trusts the pros to prepare my business and personal taxes, I used to HATE collecting all the paperwork for tax season. It's still not my fave job, BUT the Tax Dome software and checklists actually make the process less stressful for me, by making it easier to track my progress and see what I still need to find. Anything that makes your clients happier/less stressed is a win for you as the accountant, AND will increase their timely compliance - and the fact that it makes it easier for my accounting firm to complete my taxes = less time spent for them = lower fees for me. Win-win-win!

Cons: Really, nothing. It is an elegant solution to bringing accounting and tax prep into the 21st century.

TaxDome has minimized the manual work that I need for my tax and accounting practices, and I would recommend it to all business owners.

Pros: I like how it had all inclusive features, though I believe some could be consolidated and flow better, I know that all firms are built differently which is why they have the setup they do.

Cons: The ONLY thing I do not like it that you can't setup more intricate workflows for automated movement in the client pipeline, but again it's understood as to why.

We have had a wonderful experience with Tax Dome!

Pros: In my company, we use Tax Dome daily in order to keep track of all of our clients.

Cons: There is nothing really that we dislike about Tax Dome.

Thus far, TaxDome is a great product. I have only scratched the surface of all the features, but it is obviously a very thorough and well thought out product. It is easy for both office staff and clients (via the portal) to use. The TaxDome help and academy are a huge help with setting up and navigating the product. I have an IT background and have worked with and implemented many software applications. TaxDome is one of the best.

Pros: I think our favorite feature is the workflow / pipelines and automation. Those go hand-in-hand and really help us manage and prioritize projects. Also, having the ability for not only our staff, but clients via the portal, to see the status of a return is great.

Cons: The only thing I can think of is showing complete company / account info such as phone, email, address and any custom fields on the Client Info page would be helpful. Especially as we attempt to update current contact information.

With TaxDome we were able diversify our accounting services and add subscription base services. TaxDome features allowed us to diversify our products and services and increase revenue streams.

Pros: We love that our clients love it! It's secure, easy to exchange information, documents and connect us with them. Also the ability to build customizable workflows and delegate tasks to our internal staff is so amazing.

Cons: Setting up workflows and automation can take sometime. However, once the workflows and automation are up and running, you'll fall in love with the seamless process.

I love it, very well-rounded app to manage your practice in the best way possible.

Pros: The software is very convenient for my team and my client and it has all the features that my business needs.

Cons: The time tracking feature is not the best thing but it does the job. It needs more improvement.

It's really nice the ability to centralize all my tasks and tools in one place has been extremely convenient. I no longer have to spend time and money using multiple programs or platforms.

Pros: It's great I can set and schedule my reminders, due dates and recurring tasks automatically which has saved me a lot of time and kept me organized without having to remember everything manually.

Cons: Well I have had to wait a little longer than I wanted to get answers to my questions or solutions to the problems I have faced.

Taxdome has allowed me to increase my client capacity while also making sure I am giving a good client experience. I recommend it to many of my accounting colleagues and look forward to working with it as they continually upgrade and add tools.

Pros: I love that I can use TaxDome to onboard my clients for bookkeeping and taxes. The organizers are incredibly helpful and versatile in ensuring I have all the information I need. I also really enjoy being able to set up my workflow so that I can see a client's status throughout the month. I've added automation within my workflow (ie send an email reminder, let clients know their reports are ready, etc) and those are huge time savers.

Cons: I would like to see a better proposal system that integrates with pricing (ie they can build their own proposal). I also would like to have the option to pay monthly versus yearly.

Pros: Has just the features we needed. Their interface is not overly cluttered like other programs, which can overwhelm new users. TaxDome is straight forward and there is more than enough online videos to walk you through how to use the program.

Cons: Pricing is not low, but also not out of the norm for practice management software. The requirement to pay one-year up front for the first license is a bit annoying as it makes you feel like you need to be all in, right away. Not saying this is a bad thing, but if you are on a tighter budget, you may want to look at lower cost software to piece together for your practice management needs.

The team at TaxDome has continued to improve the product over the three years we have been using it. Our client adoption of the product has also been great and really facilitates communication and information sharing with them.

Pros: TDome is the hub for managing our virtual accounting and tax practice. It enabled us to consolidate and reduce the number of applications needed which simplifies our tech stack and operations.

Cons: The pipeline feature has a learning curve that must be overcome to implement TaxDome effectively. This is the case with all software applications in order to fully implement them.
