What do you dislike about TaxDome? Still learning - TBD. Biggest drawback so far is clearing to do list with multiple firm contacts.

The intuitive questionnaires in TaxDome have eliminated the need to repeat information. Clients find them easy to navigate, ensuring that all necessary questions are answered. The system even allows for additional follow-up questions based on client responses. The beautiful organizers within the platform have been invaluable, saving us time and providing a seamless client experience. One notable feature we appreciate is the ability to sign and pay within a single portal. This consolidation has eliminated the need for various sites, streamlining transactions for our clients. While there was a learning curve when we started using TaxDome a few years ago, the investment has undoubtedly paid off. It continues to prove its worth every single day.

What do you dislike about TaxDome? While it's generally reliable, there are occasional instances when the system experiences downtime, preventing us from using it. Although this doesn't happen frequently enough to warrant major complaints, it can be frustrating, as is typical with any online system. Despite this occasional inconvenience, the overall benefits and efficiency of TaxDome make it a valuable tool for our business operations.

So far the free trial has been a good amount of time to put TaxDome through the paces with a handful of actual clients. The integration with Zapier has also been key to help easily integrate the tech stack.

Pros: I like the front-end client experience. I've had several compliments on the ease of the client portal and the ease of uploading documents.

Cons: I wish CPA Charge worked with the TaxDome invoice bill payment feature.

Pros: I like the proposal to payment capability. I also like the workflows for routine tasks. Client documents and communication are also saved in one place.

Cons: I do wish workflows worked for project work, I am having to use ClickUp for that still.

The Client Portal we almost built, and glad we didn't

Pros: We have been searching for the best client experience for our firm. We were looking for something to help us differentiate our firm and services from others and have struggled with existing products. We almost built our own before discovering TaxDome. Although in a free trial, it already exceeds our expectations and we are very excited to see where they will go with the product.

Cons: We have not used it enough to find any flaws, which I am sure there are some - its software, nothing is perfect. :)

Clients love using it, so do I. TaxDome is a great all in one tool that prevents me from having to have subscriptions all over with different providers for docusign, pdf editing, client portal, etc. The android and iphone apps make it especially user firendly and my clients love using it

What do you dislike about TaxDome? So far everything has been great, however I would like to see some enhancements to the desktop application for windows.

What problems is TaxDome solving and how is that benefiting you? Client interface is great, getting clients to provide documents through the portal is great.

The workflow and automation! It should save me a ton of time and prevent the need for more administrative resources to support growth.

What do you dislike about TaxDome? You have to put the time in upfront to get it set up. However, you can use the trial period to get up to speed and set everything up.

A vital tool in growing my business

Taxdome has allowed me to increase my client capacity while also making sure I am giving a good client experience. I recommend it to many of my accounting colleagues and look forward to working with it as they continually upgrade and add tools.

Pros: I love that I can use TaxDome to onboard my clients for bookkeeping and taxes. The organizers are incredibly helpful and versatile in ensuring I have all the information I need. I also really enjoy being able to set up my workflow so that I can see a client's status throughout the month. I've added automation within my workflow (ie send an email reminder, let clients know their reports are ready, etc) and those are huge time savers.

Cons: I would like to see a better proposal system that integrates with pricing (ie they can build their own proposal). I also would like to have the option to pay monthly versus yearly.

Pros: I love that everything is in one place! With a click of a button your client is automatically put in a workflow which handles all the communication.

Cons: I feel like it takes a bit of time to build out the pipeline and workflows but once everything is set up you are good to go!

An excellent all-in-one platform with a robust client portal for an affordable price. The rapid pace of improvement - devs are very responsive to the user community. Good support. Powerful workflow automations. Very affordable for all the features it packs in. Good selection of client-facing how-to videos. TaxDome has the potential to be a paradigm-shifting resource that can completely change the way your practice interacts with your clients and with how you think about your workflow.

What do you dislike about TaxDome? It can take a lot of work and know-how to get everything running correctly since they literally hand you a blank slate. It can be challenging to know where to start and how to use it effectively, and I ended up paying a consultant to help me. As of the time of this review TD lacks the ability to send a proposal with different options that allows the client or prospect to choose which they want.

What problems is TaxDome solving and how is that benefiting you? Workflow management with automations that create an elegant, consistent, and high-quality client experience. Integrated engagement letters, client organizer, portal, secure client chat, and e-signature. Light CRM functions (mass emailing, etc.)

I am always on the prowl for better software for tax firms. I think I may have found it. I like that it is made for tax firms but flexible enough to accomodate our needs. The portal looks great, along with automatic reminders to clients on organizers and tasks, all the things that we tax folks drive us crazy. nThe client iPhone app looks really great too.

What do you dislike about TaxDome? I wish it had more types of custom fields other than just text fields. And I wish there were fields in jobs for things like date received. But I suspect the automations and ability to use tags will allow us to do what we need.

What problems is TaxDome solving and how is that benefiting you? It should save us a lot of time by automating processes, save us money from duplicate apps and provide a better client experience.

I've only used it for a very short time and it is not fully operational within my firm; however, so far so good.

Pros: TaxDome is a great choice especially for smaller firms. It will help you improve workflow and enhance client experience.

Cons: I wish I didn't have to spend $2000 more $ hiring experts to implement it faster in my firm...it takes a significant time commitment if a DIY'r.

Great software

TaxDome allowed my company to operate very efficiently. All employees are working remotely and 99.5% of clients use the tool to work with us. We are getting compliments from our clients all the time and our business can be scaled thanks to TaxDome.

What do you dislike about TaxDome? There is always room for improvement and TaxDome team is working very hard to make it even better. The only thing that is poking my eye at the moment is that on the dashboard my staff members can see my company's overall revenue. I was not able to limit what they can see on the dashboard.

What problems is TaxDome solving and how is that benefiting you? It solves the full workflow process for tax practice while at the same time provides an excellent client experience for tax practice. We still need to spend some time getting our accounting workflow processes into TaxDome.

One of the Best Decisions I made

TaxDome has helped me manage my growth and automate many of my processes. With the new updates I am even more excited about being able to make things even easier to manage on my end.

Pros: TaxDome makes it easy to set up, deploy, and the client experience is great as well. It is simple on the clients end to upload and keep all their communication in 1 place.

Cons: TaxDome is fabulous about updates, the problem is they release them into the wild during my busy season so it can be difficult to keep up with.

Overall it's been great! We took our time to set it up and support from TaxDome was instrumental! We are now getting the rest of the team onboard and expect great things to come of this change in our firm!

Pros: The support is great! And we really liked what the client experience was going to be like for our clients. We felt it is going to be better for our clients to easily see their files, get their taxes done quickly with us and communicate with us in the best way for them.

Cons: It's so customizable that it was tricky to set up, but we got through it.

Pros: So far my clients have found the portal very easy to use and the onboarding experience has been much quicker.

Cons: The automation of workflow was a little confusing at first. Once you get used to it, it does come in handy.

Great Way To Automate Tax Prep Processes and Improve Client Experience

Overall, it's a great tool that I have already seen benefit from, and I'm looking forward to using it to save a lot of admin time for my practice. This will be my first tax season using it with my clients.

Pros: I like how easy the automation customizations are. Once you set up a good template for certain types of jobs and clients, it saves a lot of time having to do repetitive tasks. Very active community and the developers are always making improvements based on realtime feedback from users. I feel confident it will only continue to improve as a software.

Cons: It does have a learning curve figuring out how to use it to its full capacity, but once you get the logic of it, it's not too bad. I think the client portal could be simplified, there's a lot of things in different locations, like messaging app, to-do lists, contracts, documents. It could be a little more intuitive and easy for clients to navigate. Also the document storage and file folder section is a little bulky. It would be nice to be able to drag and drop files.
