What is a tax organiser?

Tax organisers are digital questionnaires that help your team conduct client intake, request documents, and collect key details with just a few clicks. Send clients short, secure organisers using the pre-fill feature, which carries forward prior responses, reducing data entry and improving the overall client experience.

Organisers can be used for bookkeeping, onboarding, client satisfaction—or any other custom form you need clients to complete.

Do I have to create organisers from scratch?

Not at all – TaxDome includes a library of templates your team can use to speed up client service. Choose from our ready-made options (which you can customise to suit your firm), or create a new template from scratch.

Can I add custom fields?

Absolutely! All fields in organisers are customisable. You can select the answer format that best fits the question—radio buttons, checkboxes, multiple choice, and more.

Can I customise an organiser so that it prompts questions based on answers to certain questions?

Yes, you can use conditional logic to ensure that a client’s answers determine which questions appear next, making the organiser more relevant and efficient.

How do I know when a client has finished filling out an organiser?

You’ll receive a notification via email or see an alert in Inbox+, which you can immediately convert into a task. The organiser will also be automatically saved under the client’s Account profile, in the Organisers tab.

With automation dependencies, you can trigger additional actions once the organiser is completed. For instance, your client might receive a “We’ve received your documents” email, while your admin team gets a task to “review client docs”. These are just examples, everything can be fully customised to match your firm’s workflow.

Can my clients complete an organiser on a mobile device?

Yes, they can fill in organisers on the go from their mobile phone in the browser or on the native mobile app for iOS or Android. Even if they don’t finish it, all their changes are autosaved.

I use DocuSign for engagement letters and organisers. Do I have to continue using it?

Only if you want to, but it’s not necessary. Your TaxDome subscription includes unlimited e-signatures, engagement letters and organisers.
