This month’s update brings several exciting new features designed to improve client engagement and expand your firm’s management reach.

But, before we explore September’s updates, we also want to share something with you that we’re particularly proud of — our 2024 Annual Report. This document is more than just a summary of our achievements; it’s a window into our values, our team, and our unwavering commitment to you. 📱 Apps

Managing your firm on the go has never been easier. We’ve upgraded the firm mobile app to bring your team the same comprehensive experience your clients already enjoy with the client mobile app.

Imagine running your entire practice from the palm of your hand. Whether you’re assigning jobs from Tokyo, commenting on tasks from São Paulo, or communicating with clients from Paris — you can now take care of it all without your laptop. 

With these improvements, your team can handle everything on the go, including:

  • Managing jobs and tasks
  • Setting deadlines and attaching documents
  • Communicating with colleagues and clients

TaxDome goes where you go, keeping you connected and productive no matter where the day takes you.

😍 Client experience

When it comes to your clients, we want to make sure they have the best experience possible with your firm. That’s why we didn’t stop with just creating a top-rated client mobile app — we want to help you ensure your clients are using it.

On your accounts page, you’ll now find a new ‘mobile app’ column. This feature allows you to see which of your clients have or haven’t downloaded the app, making it easier to reach out to those who haven’t onboarded yet.

To help speed things up, we’ve added two free email templates to the marketplace. One is for new clients, introducing them to your portal, and the other is for existing clients, reminding them about the benefits of TaxDome’s client mobile app.

It’s a win-win: you’ll appear more tech-savvy, and your clients will be happier.

💰 Invoicing & payments

This month, we made invoicing a lot more flexible — for both you and your clients. With the new partial payments feature, you can allow your clients to pay what they can, when they can, eliminating the stress of covering the entire amount all at once. Best of all, they can do this directly through the client mobile app.

When you enable partial payments, clients can specify the amount they wish to pay, and they’ll see clear statuses for partially paid invoices in their portal. The remaining balances are automatically adjusted, making it easy for them to keep track.

You can also track partial payments, view payment history, and seamlessly sync with QuickBooks Online. This new billing option gives you the tools to keep your revenue stream flowing without having to constantly remind your clients or worry about payments.

For your clients, it means flexibility that allows them to pay in a way that best fits their needs. For you, it means fewer overdue invoices, more consistent cash flow, and a better client experience.

🔎 Beta updates

TaxDome AI

Last month we introduced TaxDome AI, which will reduce errors and save you time when searching for documents by automatically renaming files and adding tags. Your client workpapers will be uniformly organized, no matter how they’re delivered.

TaxDome AI is still in beta, so if you haven’t already, make sure to sign up for the waitlist to get updates. We’re working on automating even more routine tasks, and this is your chance to be among the first to benefit from this industry-first AI system.

🎥 Education & training

Advanced bootcamp: make TaxDome work harder for you

Our recent advanced bootcamp series was a huge success, with more than 1,000 users delving into complex workflows, AI-powered reporting, and advanced team management techniques.

🔥 Other

  • We’ve also added new filter options to the payments section. These filters allow you to quickly locate payments, saving you time and giving you better insights into your revenue.
  • For those times when clients pay outside of TaxDome, we’ve made it easier to record offline payments. You can do this either through the Invoices section in a specific account or via the Billing section in the sidebar. This ensures you always have a complete picture of your firm’s finances, no matter how your clients choose to pay.

Our world tour has taken us to 11 countries this year, and each stop has been an incredible opportunity to connect with our global community and build new relationships.
