IRS Nationwide Tax Forum 2026: sessions to 43 attend in NY, Orlando & San Diego

Key takeaways:

  • TaxDome is attending three stops on the IRS’s 2026 summer forum circuit: New York (Aug 18-20), Orlando (Sept 1-3) and San Diego (Sept 15-17).
  • New York runs the fullest version of the program: 43 distinct seminars across three days, including a closing keynote address and a New York-specific state law session.
  • Orlando and San Diego share an identical 41-session program with each other. Every one of those 41 sessions also runs in New York.
  • Across all three forums, attendees can earn up to 18 continuing education credits, with no advanced preparation requirements or prerequisite requirements for any standard seminar.

TaxDome is on the road again this summer, stopping at three of the five cities on the IRS Nationwide Tax Forum 2026 circuit: New York, Orlando, and San Diego.

Each forum runs the same core continuing-education program with its own local schedule, so we pulled every session at all three, cross-referenced the New York, Orlando, and San Diego schedules against each other, and built this guide to help you plan whichever city you’re attending.

Firms that specialize see it pay off directly. Of businesses that leave a niche accountant, 98% hire another specialist rather than going back to a generalist. See the full findings in TaxDome’s 2025 Niche Business Accounting Report.

Keynote address

Case Resolution Room

Book a one-on-one appointment with the Taxpayer Advocate Service and IRS specialists to work an unresolved client case on the spot. Appointments open three weeks before each forum and fill on a first-come, first-served basis.

Digital Account Services Room

Same-day appointments with IRS representatives covering CAF and authorization issues, e-Services and e-file applications, PTIN and Enrolled Agent programs, and identity authentication support.

Taxpayer Advocate town hall

An interactive Q&A with the National Taxpayer Advocate during the networking reception, open to any attendee who wants to raise emerging taxpayer issues directly.

Full details on hours and how to book are on the IRS’s own Forum Highlights page.

Orlando and San Diego: the same national program, on a different clock

Orlando and San Diego run an identical 41-session program to each other, and every one of those 41 sessions is already covered in the New York breakdown above. Neither city runs the closing keynote address or a state-specific session the way New York does, so their printed programs are effectively a subset of New York’s.

What differs is the clock. Both cities shift the Thursday schedule around a longer lunch and an extra 11:15 am slot that New York doesn’t have, and end the day earlier, at 4:30 pm instead of 5:00 pm.

Visual: HTML table
