Buy Now, Pay Later: offer clients payment flexibility
Run your entire firm on one platform
Sixteen percent of U.S. adults used a Buy Now, Pay Later service during the past year, according to the Federal Reserve. That’s up from ten percent in 2021, and it’s not limited to consumer spending. Professional services increasingly offer installment payments at checkout: dental practices, veterinary clinics, and law firms.
With Buy Now, Pay Later in TaxDome, your firm can do the same.
Your clients can now pay an invoice in installments with Affirm or Klarna. Financing is available for up to $30,000, and interest-free options are available. Your firm is paid in full upfront and carries none of the payment delays.

Extra payment flexibility for your clients
The payment experience in TaxDome is already rated 4.9/5 by 40,000+ clients, and Buy Now, Pay Later brings even more flexibility for your clients at checkout.
The choice is theirs
Buy Now, Pay Later gives clients the flexibility of choosing to pay an invoice in installments. Affirm and Klarna show as payment options at checkout, alongside card payments and bank transfers.
If they want to spread the cost, they select the plan that suits them and review the terms before confirming. The flexibility is there when they want it. If they prefer to pay in full, they do exactly that.
Interest-free installments with Pay in 4
We wanted 0% payment options for your clients when we entered these partnerships. Pay in 4 gives you the power to offer this: four interest-free payments over six weeks. The first payment is collected at checkout, and the remaining ones every two weeks.
Pay in 4 runs a soft credit check, which doesn’t affect your client’s credit score.
Eligible clients can apply to pay in installments with Affirm or Klarna. Available payment options and terms depend on the provider, client and invoice. They see the exact terms of their payment options before they accept.
None of the payment delays
Buy Now, Pay Later allows you to offer clients the flexibility of payment plans without the usual payment delays and the extra work of collecting multiple payments.
Your firm gets paid in full
When a client pays with Buy Now, Pay Later, your firm receives the full invoice amount upfront. Affirm or Klarna pays your firm directly and handles the financing. Our payment partners collect repayments directly from your clients while your team gets back to work.
No installments to chase
You don’t build the payment plan and you never chase an installment. If a client stops paying their installments, that’s between them and Affirm or Klarna — you’ve already been paid. Work keeps moving instead of waiting on an invoice.
If a client disputes a charge
Payment disputes are separate from client repayment. You may need to provide supporting documentation, and disputed funds may be withheld. Dispute outcomes and applicable provider terms determine the effect on your payout and any fees. If the dispute is resolved in your favor, there’s no cost to you. If it’s resolved in the client’s favor, the disputed amount is returned to them and a dispute fee applies. Responding promptly with clear records is the best way to protect yourself if this comes up.
Get paid upfront on bigger jobs
With traditional payment plans, firms only collect a fraction of the invoice upfront and take on the work of managing the remaining installments. The firm receives less money on day one and spends more time recovering the full amount.
Buy Now, Pay Later gets you paid in full upfront while giving clients the flexibility to spread payments on their end.
Even on the largest projects, clients can sign and pay right away, and your team can get to work without any payment delays. Cash flow strengthens when full payment is collected at the start of the engagement, not spread across weeks of installments.
From proposal to payment, in one platform
Buy Now, Pay Later reimagines payment plans for the needs of accounting firms and their clients. We don’t believe your firm should have to accept extra admin work to offer clients convenience. That’s why we built Buy Now, Pay Later the way we did: your firm gets paid in full, your clients get the flexibility they need, and the collection of installments sits with the partners.
This is how we approach everything in TaxDome. Proposals, document collection, invoicing, payments, and client communication all work together in one platform because that’s how firms actually operate. Clients sign, pay, share files, and communicate with their firm through a single app. Buy Now, Pay Later is the latest addition to that experience, not a bolt-on from a third party.
Buy Now, Pay Later will help firms get paid faster and get paid in full when their clients need flexibility with larger invoices.
