Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to use SMS in TaxDome?

The cost of SMS in TaxDome consists of the following:

  • An initial one-time registration fee paid to Twilio and inclusive of the first month’s subscription: $30.15 USD total
  • Monthly subscription cost paid to Twilio: total $11.15
  • SMS fee per sent/received message, paid to TaxDome: $0.04 USD

When connecting Twilio, we will deduct $30.15 from your firm balance to cover initial fees.

Can I create and manage SMS templates for common messages?

Sure! You can save time by creating SMS templates for texts you use often, avoiding needless duplication of effort. 

Why does integrating with Twilio take time?

To access the SMS feature, you’ll need to pass the Twilio verification process

Due to the A2P 10DLC regulation, all brands must be vetted and approved, which can take up to 3 weeks. During this process, Twilio verifies that the details provided by the brand match those in their US EIN listing or relevant national Tax ID (for businesses outside the US).

This extended timeline is due to compliance requirements set forth by regulatory bodies such as the Federal Trade Commission.

How do I register a brand?

Here’s how you register your brand with Twilio so that you can use SMS in TaxDome:

  • In your TaxDome portal, go to Settings > Integrations, select the SMS subtab, then click Connect SMS 
  • Fill out the firm info and contact info 
  • Top-up your balance and pay a registration fee of $30.15 USD

Once submitted, TaxDome will handle the brand registration process with Twilio. This process can take up to 30 days. After that, you’ll receive a new phone number for SMS messaging in TaxDome.

Are there any limits on the number of messages I can send?

You can send a maximum of 6,000 SMS in one day. If you approach or reach this limit, please contact our support team for assistance.
