Supreme Court ruling, states have become more aggressive in pursuing the collection of state tax for software. In New York state, where our product is considered taxable, TaxDome is required to collect and remit sales tax. You can access the New York State tax rule here.
This is a state-by-state requirement and not a TaxDome requirement. We’re simply a pass-through entity for the government request. There’s no action required by you—if you’re eligible for sales tax, it will be automatically included it in your bill. You will see the final bill amount on the Stripe checkout page.
