Great Solution and Affordable
Overall, TaxDome does just about everything I need to run my little business (other than bookkeeping). I look forward to figuring out how to use the functions that elude me, currently. In the meantime, being able to exchange documents, receive payment for invoices, and get client signatures remotely in one place is convenient.
Pros: • Client and firm document storage and sharing. • Invoicing options that include one-time and recurring. - Client can pay invoice by following an email link - Integrated payment processing, including ACH for direct bank draw
Cons: • Very confusing to setup workflow, pipelines, tasks, and jobs • Some features are not linked in places where it would make sense - You cannot add an external/cash payment to invoice by viewing the invoice. The link to do that is located somewhere else • Did I mention that setting up pipelines and workflows, job tracking, tasks etc is very difficult and counter intuitive?
TaxDome Review
Pros: TaxDome is very easy to use for both Tax Professionals and clients. Document storage, fillable forms, executing signatures and collecting invoices are simple.
Cons: Not much to dislike! Workflow management, document storage and all other features are great!

Client security for document uploads
Pros: The Client Management and Invoicing were the most critical features we enjoyed
Cons: Sometimes when we attach invoices and lock it with documents and send out reminders, the reminders wouldn't go through and I would have to reselect it to get the reminder sent out.

If you want a easy way to keep track of invoices, and be paid promptly, TaxDome is for you.
Pros: my job requires myself to process and keep track of invoices. TaxDome is a quick and easy way to accept credit cards payments. Customers also love the notifications that invoices and ready to be paid. The connection to Quickbooks is very helpful!
Cons: A little pricey, but your paying for a quality software
Best CRM software for any Accountant
I am one person shop, this software is my personal assistant that I pay only once a year. All my repetitive messages, emails are sent to the clients without me moving a finger, Invoices and ELs sent the same way.Requests for drafts approvals, and invoice attachments are super critical to my cashflow.
Pros: The ease of use, the workflow that allows me to automate numerous respective tasks, saving me huge amount of time
Cons: Time tracking/billing function - very basis
TaxDome has revolutionized our project & client management giving our clients a single app to use
Pros: I love that there are both client and firm facing apps. In addition, after using other software, the ability to direct message a client inside the software keeps it encrypted and confidential. Also after much trial of other software, TaxDome allows us to give a client a open item list of to-do's and track the deliverables as they are completed without having to constantly update the request and keep manually tracking what is neededed.
Cons: We are waiting for the ability to autopay the recurring invoices. Additionally, we would like to be able to customize an existing pipeline template per client, without creating multiple template copies, which is currently on the roadmap which we are excited about!
TaxDome for CPA Firm Management
Pros: Workflow management and automating contracts + invoices.
Cons: The setup is highly convoluted, though it's getting better each quarter.
Best Product I've Used So Far....still not perfect
Pros: The ability to lock invoices to tax returns/signatures is huge. Also being able to work KBA into our document portal is great. Customer service is also excellent.
Cons: Would like to have limited access for certain client users.
Tax Dome helped us handle enough business to get our own office
Our overall experience with TD has been fantastic. We were able to triple our business within the first year of us using it.
Pros: There were three accountants (partners) when we first started this business and we were working out of bedrooms and coffee shops. The only reason that was happening was because we spent 70% of our time just tracking our servicing progress for each client under each different partner. Once we found Tax Dome and moved our client success processes from Trello, Clickup, excel, and other management softwares, we were able to handle significantly more clients with this time. Our absolute favorite feature is pipeline's and being able to automate engagement letters, send invoices, and organizers to collect data.
Cons: Features I least like that are within TaxDome is the inbox+ and template (& tag) management. Inbox+ won't show the correct preview text for a notification- meaning a notification would pop up saying a client messaged us, however, the notification was triggered because I myself sent a response message. And for notifications that are actually from clients messaging us will never be properly previewed in inbox+.
Template (& tag) management can be greatly improved. When I first started using TD, I created templates for EVERYTHING. Now I use perhaps half of them yet I have not deleted the ones that are not in use simply because I do not know what templates are actually being used in a pipeline.
Externally from TaxDome, my least favorite part of it is its inability to integrate with other software such as Zapier, google sheets, and more.
Excellent Product
Pros: The Client portal is remarkable! The templates that are included are great and the ability to electrically sign documents as well as send invoices directly thru the portal are really a plus.
Cons: The workflow module is not that easy to navigate.
Happy I found TaxDome
So far so good! I've scheduled two calls and everyone was patient and helpful.
Pros: I can appreciate that this is a hub for all things small business. I was using click-up in the past and I had to separately send invoices, emails and DocuSign files. I'm looking forward to getting my website hooked up through all of you as well.
Cons: I'm overwhelmed by all of the options. There 100% needs to be a referral tracking code for each contact. I work with influencers and I want them to refer me clients, if here was a build in referral code system that would be great.
Best Practice Management for Accountants
Pros: The in-app document management, file storage, and client portal features make client collaboration simple.
Cons: I'd like to be able to start a new timer from the task itself or the app header menu. Syncing stripe invoices and subscriptions with contacts based on their email address. Adding an email address to an account record.
Lots of functionality and good value
I wanted a client portal for client documents and communication as well as CRM functionality. The ability to do invoices and get signatures on documents is a bonus.
Pros: All the features that eliminate the need for half a dozen other programs/apps
Cons: Initial setup, though this applies to learning any new software
Replace many other programs
Just getting ready to switch off trial but seems like it will help keep track of jobs, invoices and esignatures.
Pros: Will be able to keep better track of all my tax returns. Be able to do esignatures. And keep track of invoices with online payment feature.
Cons: Not sure yet. Just used the trial so far.

Great software and easy to implement
Pros: The ease of implementation. It is easy to understand while also providing a full package of necessary services. I have not found another software that can do this at a price point that makes sense for my company.
Cons: The QuickBooks integration is lacking. I would prefer customers sync and have the option to sync invoices that can be paid and sent via QuickBooks. The communication tools are great but they could be easier to use without implementing a workflow.
Great Software
Pros: I really like how the software has made managing my small firm so much easier!
Cons: I wish the invoice portal was a bit more user friendly and that you had more room to play around. For example I wish the time entries just automatically went to the invoice with an hourly rate you set. In addition I wished the invoices were sent with our logo, this may be the case and I just may have missed it.
Great Value for all the Features
TaxDome is still new, but so far the experience has been excellent. We have our first client jobs in the pipelines and we're very happy so far. The workflow setup is a work in progress to be refined and improved as we go along. We found the TaxDome online documentation and videos to be very helpful.
Pros: We wanted a core platform for virtual tax preparation. The shortest technology stack the better. Our main tax preparation software is great at tax preparation, but were looking for something that could do all the rest. We did trials of a few names, but TaxDome stood out from the beginning. We liked the flexibility and customization available throughout TaxDome, particularly in the templates for almost every customer touch point. We liked the free eSignatures and the reasonably priced KBA. We liked the integrated payments and the ability to link invoices and documents approvals to workflow automation. We liked the ability to create a client self-onboarding environment. We liked the ability to customize a fairly sophisticated initial information intake (ie online tax organizer) through the conditional question building tools provided. Overall, what we liked the most is the value for what you get with TaxDome.
Cons: There is a learning curve around the automation functions, and getting used to the TaxDome nomenclature around jobs, piplines, and tasks. Setting up your workflow can be time-consuming, especially if you're a perfectionist with your templates, etc. We wish some of the system generated messages were templated/configurable. There is some awkward writing/verbiage here and there within the program. We wish there was a configurable default template for client notification preferences. We didn't like the non-customizable invoice or that there's nothing really to print or save PDF for a client. It's more a payment prompt than an invoice. We like the ability to move/drag/save files outside of TaxDome (ex: from the file structure of our main tax preparation software) into TaxDome, but we wish there was an auto-sync like other local drive to cloud drive services.
TaxDome is legit!!
So far I'm still in the early stages of onboarding the software to my practice but so far I'm very pleased with the decision I made.
Pros: Super user-friendly client portal, efficient invoices and seamless tracking of jobs and task. Very intuitive and at the same time boasts very good customer service and easy to follow tutorials. Easy to integrate into my practice.
Cons: Can’t think of any features that are missing. Perhaps over time I’ll think of something. But by then, they would’ve probably already implemented as they are constantly updating the software.
