New User with high expectations
So far the free trial has been a good amount of time to put TaxDome through the paces with a handful of actual clients. The integration with Zapier has also been key to help easily integrate the tech stack.
Pros: I like the front-end client experience. I've had several compliments on the ease of the client portal and the ease of uploading documents.
Cons: I wish CPA Charge worked with the TaxDome invoice bill payment feature.
Streamline Your Client Experience
Pros: I like the proposal to payment capability. I also like the workflows for routine tasks. Client documents and communication are also saved in one place.
Cons: I do wish workflows worked for project work, I am having to use ClickUp for that still.
The Client Portal we almost built, and glad we didn't
Pros: We have been searching for the best client experience for our firm. We were looking for something to help us differentiate our firm and services from others and have struggled with existing products. We almost built our own before discovering TaxDome. Although in a free trial, it already exceeds our expectations and we are very excited to see where they will go with the product.
Cons: We have not used it enough to find any flaws, which I am sure there are some - its software, nothing is perfect. :)
A vital tool in growing my business
Taxdome has allowed me to increase my client capacity while also making sure I am giving a good client experience. I recommend it to many of my accounting colleagues and look forward to working with it as they continually upgrade and add tools.
Pros: I love that I can use TaxDome to onboard my clients for bookkeeping and taxes. The organizers are incredibly helpful and versatile in ensuring I have all the information I need. I also really enjoy being able to set up my workflow so that I can see a client's status throughout the month. I've added automation within my workflow (ie send an email reminder, let clients know their reports are ready, etc) and those are huge time savers.
Cons: I would like to see a better proposal system that integrates with pricing (ie they can build their own proposal). I also would like to have the option to pay monthly versus yearly.
Beast software for Tax Accountants
I have been able to deliver the best client experience.
Pros: I love that everything is in one place! With a click of a button your client is automatically put in a workflow which handles all the communication.
Cons: I feel like it takes a bit of time to build out the pipeline and workflows but once everything is set up you are good to go!
Tax Dome is awesome
Everyone has been extremely helpful.
Pros: The automation is mind blowing. We are excited to see where things go from hear.
Cons: I think if we could add a year over year comparison for the tax organizer it would be a greater value for the client experience.
Good Choice
I've only used it for a very short time and it is not fully operational within my firm; however, so far so good.
Pros: TaxDome is a great choice especially for smaller firms. It will help you improve workflow and enhance client experience.
Cons: I wish I didn't have to spend $2000 more $ hiring experts to implement it faster in my firm...it takes a significant time commitment if a DIY'r.
One of the Best Decisions I made
TaxDome has helped me manage my growth and automate many of my processes. With the new updates I am even more excited about being able to make things even easier to manage on my end.
Pros: TaxDome makes it easy to set up, deploy, and the client experience is great as well. It is simple on the clients end to upload and keep all their communication in 1 place.
Cons: TaxDome is fabulous about updates, the problem is they release them into the wild during my busy season so it can be difficult to keep up with.
Great experience with TaxDome
Overall it's been great! We took our time to set it up and support from TaxDome was instrumental! We are now getting the rest of the team onboard and expect great things to come of this change in our firm!
Pros: The support is great! And we really liked what the client experience was going to be like for our clients. We felt it is going to be better for our clients to easily see their files, get their taxes done quickly with us and communicate with us in the best way for them.
Cons: It's so customizable that it was tricky to set up, but we got through it.
Great client experience
Pros: So far my clients have found the portal very easy to use and the onboarding experience has been much quicker.
Cons: The automation of workflow was a little confusing at first. Once you get used to it, it does come in handy.
Great Way To Automate Tax Prep Processes and Improve Client Experience
Overall, it's a great tool that I have already seen benefit from, and I'm looking forward to using it to save a lot of admin time for my practice. This will be my first tax season using it with my clients.
Pros: I like how easy the automation customizations are. Once you set up a good template for certain types of jobs and clients, it saves a lot of time having to do repetitive tasks. Very active community and the developers are always making improvements based on realtime feedback from users. I feel confident it will only continue to improve as a software.
Cons: It does have a learning curve figuring out how to use it to its full capacity, but once you get the logic of it, it's not too bad. I think the client portal could be simplified, there's a lot of things in different locations, like messaging app, to-do lists, contracts, documents. It could be a little more intuitive and easy for clients to navigate. Also the document storage and file folder section is a little bulky. It would be nice to be able to drag and drop files.
Best All In One Software - I've tried them all
TaxDome support is incredibly responsive and useful. The implementation time was minimal for this software. I got my workflows set up in a day and was working in the software pretty efficiently within 3 days. My clients LOVE the portal and it sets me apart as an accounting firm because our communication is consistent, timely, and they know where to find me.
Pros: I love that it has all of the features I really wanted for a great client experience and workflow management. The client portal is phenomenal. The Workflows are easy to setup and the templates are a great starting point. Not too complex and not too simplistic
Cons: I wish that recurring tasks customized to a specific client could be built into a recurring pipeline job instead of having to link recurring tasks when they're created. I can tell this feature is missing because of the way the software was designed to streamline the workflow management experience which is otherwise phenomenal. The minor inconvenience of linking a task to a job after the fact is minimal compared to the rest of the benefits I have from this software.
If you are a small firm you need this tool
TD has been a phenominal tool to work with and support the implementation into firms from 1 - 5 persons. It has the ability to really create a transformation in not only the effort it takes to provide services but in an improved client experience.
Pros: I love the efficiencies this tool can provide the solopreneur/small team. While the setup can be frustrating the front loaded effort is worth it!
Cons: The CRM is not yet a deep one. I am excited to see where TD is in a year or two.

Robust All-in-One Project Management Software
I am thrilled to have found a practice management software that is compatible with both my tax practice needs and bookkeeping needs.
Pros: I love how robust this system is! It has many more features than you even realize at first... it's as if you keep finding something else you can use in your practice. I also am very excited that the TD team is so involved with frequent updates and improvements. That is key to me since there are always things that can be improved upon for better practice/client experience.
Cons: It does take some time to acclimate to the software. I am very familiar and in love with tech. But even for me it is a bit intense in the since that there are SO Many options that to get everything up and running - processes, automation, etc - will take some time to think and work through. I'm also excited for when there are a LOT more Zapier integrations. Right now it is the most basic available.
Worth the money
Billing was simplified and client experience should be improving.
Pros: There are other alternatives, but TaxDome is tailored for the accounting industry. Easy to understand and implement. Clients love the ability of signing documents and seeing everything in one portal.
Cons: Understanding the workflow, tasks and jobs was the challenging part for our firm. From the client's perspective, when they download the app they get confused on the "enter your firm" section before login in.
Solo owner of CPA firm
My experience has been great. The software is easy to implement. It has many features to improve the workflow of my firm and enhance the client experience.
Pros: My favorite features are the email sync and mobile app. I have many clients that send pictures of documents and the mobile app will simplify this process. The app allows clients to scan documents with their mobile device. It automatically crops the image and uploads as a PDF. This feature will increase the efficiency of my workflow. The email sync automatically pulls client emails into TaxDome and I have all client communications in their account. This will save so much time managing emails and finding client communications. It is intuitive to use and easy to implement.
Cons: I would like ACH transfer for client payments, but I believe this feature is being added shortly.
Ease of Use and Customer Service
My overall experience with TaxDome to date has been very positive. I just finished my 2 week free trial and am excited to fully customize the software and use it to its full extent. I feel that it will make a big impact on the organization of our team and the overall client experience.
Pros: I love the ease of use for the client and the available app. I've practiced using it as a client and it is so easy to sign up, activate and upload documents and information. I have also utilized the onboarding on several occasions and have been very pleased. It's been easy to schedule a session and everyone I spoke to has been extremely knowledgeable and patient.
Cons: Creating the pipelines and understanding the relationships between tasks, templates, automations, etc has been challenging and will be time consuming to fully customize, but I feel it will be worth it in the long run.
Inclusive Platform

Pros: It is an all inclusive platform. The cost of the annual subsciption includes the website hosting . I'm looking forward to the virtual desktop folder system - similar to Dropbox .
Cons: It is time consuming to complete the set-up and takes time to plan your pipelines. My hope is that the initial time investment will payoff big in productivity and client experience. I am not excited about having to pay for a seperate subscription for each office user.
